Step-by-Step Execution Guide
Receiving & Accepting Jobs
When a housing provider assigns you a work order, you'll receive an email and SMS notification. Log into your dashboard to review the scope of work, priority level, and location.
Note: You can accept the job and provide an Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA), or reject it if you don't have availability.
On-Site Check-in
When you arrive at the property, open the work order on your mobile device and tap 'Log Arrival'. This updates the status for the property manager and automatically notifies the tenant.
Documenting the Work
Use the attachment feature to take 'Before' photos of the issue. After completing the repair, take 'After' photos to clearly demonstrate the resolution.
Tips for success:
- Ensure photos are well-lit and clearly show the repaired area
- Add notes detailing the parts used and the specific fix applied
Closing the Job
Once you're finished, tap 'Mark as Complete'. The system will package your photos, notes, and time logs into a completion report for the property manager to review and authorise for payment.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Photo Upload Failures
Problem: Photos fail to upload from the property.
Solution: This is usually due to poor mobile data reception inside properties. You can take the photos with your phone's camera app and upload them to the work order later when you have a stronger Wi-Fi or 4G connection.
Tenant No-Show
Problem: You arrive at the property but the tenant is not home to provide access.
Solution: Log your arrival to prove you attended at the agreed time. Take a photo of the front door, add a note explaining the no-access situation, and change the status to 'No Access'. The system will automatically notify the property manager to reschedule.

Social Home is fully responsive and works directly in your phone's web browser. You can bookmark the dashboard to your home screen for app-like access without downloading anything.
What if I need parts and have to return later?
You can set the job status to 'Awaiting Parts'. The property manager will see this update and the job will remain in your active queue until you return to finish the repair.
Can my employees use this system?
Yes, you can add team members to your service provider account. You can dispatch work orders to specific engineers, and they can log their own check-ins and photos.
